Abdullah Aldosari won the 10-and-under category title in the Bahrain Tennis Academy (BTA) Junior Tennis Tournament, held at the Bahrain Tennis Federation courts in Isa Town.
Players initially took part in a round-robin competition, after which the top scoring players in each group progressed to the final rounds.
In the semi-finals, Abdullah Aldosari defeated Dylan Barrie 10-7 while Abdullah Khalfan defeated Hussain Alshorafa 10-4. In the play-off for third place, Hussain overcame Dylan 7-5, 7-5. Then, in the final match, Abdullah Aldosari claimed the title with a 7-6, 7-4 win over Abdullah Khalfan.
BTA and tournament director Dan Barrie said: “We were pleased to see the players adapt well to the smaller 60-foot court which is an important step in transitioning from the mini court to the full court.”
