Lady Gaga is joining Joaquin Phoenix in 'Joker: Folie à Deux' to play his partner-in-crime, Harley Quinn. Photos from the shooting set unveiled the make-up and costume worn by Gaga in the film.
The photos show Gaga in character, being escorted by Gotham police into a government building. Meanwhile, the extras, dressed as protesters, surround the star, holding signs asking to "Free Joker", "Joker Marry Me", “Justice 4 Joker” and “No Justice Not Guilty Not Joking”.
Colourful wigs and clown masks were also seen among the crowd, blending in character like the rest.
Oscar-nominated Arianne Phillips designed Gaga's costume with the zany aesthetic of the 2019 'Joker'.
Although Lady Gaga's role as Harley Quinn is yet to be officially announced, the photos, make-up, costume and protesters seem to have confirmed the speculations.
Warner Bros. will release 'Joker: Folie à Deux'' in theatres in October 2024.
