Actor Jonathan Majors, who played 'Kang the Conqueror' in Marvel's latest film 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' was arrested in New York City on Saturday.
Majors, now out of custody, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, according to reports.
The NYPD stated that there was a call coming from an apartment in the Chelsea neighbourhood on Saturday morning, where Majors' girlfriend, 30, called 911 to report that she had been assaulted.
After a preliminary investigation, reports stated that there had been a "domestic dispute" in the apartment involving Majors and his girlfriend.
The woman suffered a minor head and neck injury and was taken to a hospital. She is currently in stable condition.
Sources said that Majors and his girlfriend were in a heated argument in a taxi on Friday after the girlfriend confronted Majors about allegedly seeing a text he received from another woman.
According to the woman, Majors allegedly grabbed her and slapped her. She also accused him of strangling her.
A representative of the actor said, "He's done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up."
