TWO men who allegedly violated commercial registration (CR) rules will face legal action.
An expatriate man has been arrested for paying BD100 as monthly rent for the CR, a statement released by the Public Prosecution yesterday said.
He was also allegedly paying BD160 to rent out a store from the CR owner.
According to Ministries and Public Bodies Prosecution head, the CR owner was given a week to rectify the situation.
“A report was received from the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry that a laundry owner was renting out his CR to the expatriate for BD100 in addition to BD160 for the space,” said the statement. “The CR owner was ordered to rectify the legal situation within a week. However he refused to do so.
“The Public Prosecution launched an investigation upon receiving the complaint and interrogated the defendants.
“The expatriate has been remanded. The two men will be referred to the Lower Criminal Court.”
The Public Prosecution vowed tough action against illegal activities in violation of economic security laws in Bahrain.
