An MP has walked out from today's online session claiming the improper implementation of rules governing Parliamentary debate.
Khalid Bu Onk staged a lengthy argument with Parliament Speaker Fouzia Zainal over the allotted time given to MPs for replies to ministers' comments.
It came as Housing Minister Bassem Al Hamer refused to further elaborate on his written response on variances of social homes presented by Mr Bu Onk, which meant the MP was not allowed to speak for a second time.
This is the first protest ‘walk out’ by an MP from a session since Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Al Asoomi stepped away in a storm in May 2015 following differences with then Bahrain Parliament speaker Ahmed Al Mulla.
